First Unit Meeting of the New Year

The first BHS PTSA unit meeting of the new year will be on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from 6:30 to 7:30pm, in the SLGI. A nominating committee must be formed to nominate officers for the 2011-2012 school year. The election meeting is on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, same time and same location. Dinner will be served starting at 6:15pm and during the meetings.

Our annual Founders Day / Reflections Program recognition is Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the BHS cafeteria, from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

Final Curtain Call

We only have two rehearsals left before the BIG day. I hope everyone is fired up and ready to go. We want this to be the best talent show ever. Everyone please report promptly at 2:30pm on Thursday, November 10 and November 17. We want to run through the entire show with the sound and light guys. Your acts must be stage ready by the next rehearsal without exception....

We need your input - PLEASE ATTEND!

First Meeting of the School Year

The Bedford High PTSA will hold its first meeting of the school year on Wednesday, September 1, at 6:30pm, in the SLGI. Come out and chat with the new principal - Mr. Samuel Vawters. Planning for the after prom will begin at this meeting. We ask that students come out to sign up for the after prom committee. Refreshments will be served.

Our Own Bearcat Moves to National PTA Competition

Congrads to Korliss Evans for her outstanding participation in the BHS PTSA Reflections Program. Her beautiful artwork was forwarded to the state competition. She just received the "Award of Excellence" through the Ohio PTA. Korliss will now compete on the national level - National PTA. A BIG round of applause for our winning Bearcat! YEAH!!!

National PTA Legislative Conference / First Lady Michelle Obama

2010 National Legislative Conference: Michelle Obama to Speak at Legislative Conference

National PTA® is pleased to announce Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States, will be the keynote speaker at PTA’s Legislative Conference. Her keynote address will be Wednesday, March 10, 12:30 – 2:15 p.m. EST.

The First Lady is slated to speak about her national campaign “Let’s Move”—a movement pertinent to the National PTA’s efforts toward fighting childhood obesity and promoting healthy lifestyles. Her address is part of PTA’s National Legislative Conference taking place March 9-11 in Arlington, VA.

The three-day conference is designed to motivate ‘grasstop’ leaders from across the country and provide an in-depth look at the latest PTA Public Policy Agenda through a series of workshops, skill building trainings, panel discussions, and guest speakers.
